Iconic for its sweeping views of lush ridges, remote black sand beach, and even a gentle “forest” walk along the beach. This spot offers diversity and beauty for photos, great for everything from engagement photos, to family pictures.


Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary
A magical, misty forest filled with diverse flora, natural beauty, and endless backdrops for unique photos. Capture a range of moods, stories, and lighting here! And when the sun comes through the trees – the rays and glow of the plants are truly unbeatable.


Old Kona Airport State Recreation Area
This family friendly spot has serene and rugged beach vibes with tide pools and coconut palms, perfect for a multitude of occasions! Come for golden hour/sunset for an extra dreamy vibe.


Ke’ei Beach
Located on the south end of Kealakekua Bay, this beautiful spot has lush vegetation lining the shore. While this is a pebble beach with some lava rocks, this is a quintessential backdrop that just screams “Big Island”!

Green Sand Beach (Papakōlea)
Unique olive-green sands surrounded by rugged cliffs and are a sight to behold! Note that it can be quite a walk to get here, especially with the heat, and certain times of the year can be much windier or more crowded than others.


As you can see, Hawai’i Island is an absolutely stunning place and getting photos taken here for any reason (even just for fun!) is an absolute must do!
