5 Re-Energizing Yoga Poses for the Midday Slump
We all know the feeling when lunch is over: your energy dips, and your body is begging for a nap. Instead of reaching for another coffee, try just ten minutes of mindful movement to refresh your mind, boost circulation, and help you feel awake again!
Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana)

What it does: Brings fresh blood to the brain, easing fatigue and tension.
How to do it: From standing, hinge at your hips and fold forward. Let your head hang heavy, knees slightly bent. Hold for 5–8 breaths, gently swaying side to side if it feels good.
Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)

How to do it: Step your feet wide apart. Turn your right toes out, left toes slightly in. Bend your right knee over your ankle, extend arms out, and gaze over your front hand. Hold 5 breaths, then switch sides.
Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)

How to do it: From Warrior II, straighten your front leg. Reach forward with your front arm, then tilt down, placing your hand on your shin or thigh while lifting the other arm up. Breathe deeply for 5 breaths per side.
Crescent Lunge (Anjaneyasana)

How to do it: Step one foot forward, bend your knee, and extend the other leg back with toes tucked. Lift your arms overhead, chest reaching up. Hold 5 breaths, then switch sides.
Seated Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana variation)

What it does: Awakens digestion, detoxifies, and boosts spinal mobility.
How to do it: Sit tall with both feet flat on the ground. Cross your right leg over the left and place your right hand behind you. Inhale to lengthen your spine, exhale to twist gently to the right. Hold 5 breaths, then switch sides.
